I recently celebrated my two best friend’s birthdays at Susurros del Corazón, an Auberge Resorts property that completely stole my heart. The moment I arrived, I was instantly captivated by the awe-inspiring natural beauty that surrounded me. The warm sand between my toes, the gentle ocean breeze caressing my skin, and the lush greenery enveloping the property all made me feel as if I had stumbled upon a true paradise.
The very first experience we had upon arrival was a Cacao Ceremony led by Medicine Woman Gina, who created a warm and welcoming atmosphere that immediately put us at ease. She explained the significance of cacao in the Mayan culture and how it has been used for thousands of years as a tool for spiritual healing and connection.
During the ceremony, we were each presented with a cup of cacao drink that had been carefully infused with herbs and spices and recited the phrase, “I receive love, I give love,” and instructed to pass it to our neighbor. As we savored the warm, flavorful beverage, we were encouraged to turn our attention inward and connect with our intentions and desires. Following the ceremony, each of us shared our experiences with the group, and Gina offered personalized wishes based on our birthdays. The experience was truly transformative, leaving us feeling grounded and deeply connected.
Our room was a true sanctuary, with a soft and plush bed, luxurious amenities, and sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean. Every morning, we would wake up to the sound of the waves crashing against the shore and the sun peeking through the curtains, signaling the start of another beautiful day.
We spent a leisurely afternoon lounging by the poolside cabana, and indulged in a mouth-watering lunch of the freshest seafood at Acapulco.
