We enjoyed a brief but memorable visit to Barcelona during the second leg of our 10th-anniversary trip to Spain. After returning from the more relaxed atmosphere of Mallorca, it was a nice transition to experience bustling city life again. We had the pleasure of staying at the Almanac Barcelona, a stylish hotel situated in a convenient central location.

We made reservations for lunch at the Michelin-starred restaurant SLOW&LOW, where we planned to try their affordably priced 5-course menu. However, once we saw the minimal price difference, we decided to upgrade to the larger 12-course option. Each dish was meticulously crafted and visually stunning, and the flavors were incredibly bold and impactful.

It was a special experience to see La Sagrada Familia in a more completed state, with an interesting contrast between the old and new sides.
We traveled by bus to La Roca Village, a well-known outlet shopping center right outside of Barcelona. Although it was smaller than the Woodbury Commons in New York, it offered a variety of brands that I love, such as Loewe, Prada, and Moncler. The prices were more favorable due to the European pricing and the tax refund offered. Upon returning, we had a refreshing drink at El Jardi and enjoyed their outdoor garden’s live music and atmosphere.
