Nestled in the rolling hills of the Hudson Valley, Wildflower Farms – part of the Auberge Resorts Collection – offers a picturesque escape from the city, even in the dead of winter. This idyllic property is the perfect retreat for anyone seeking a peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Despite the cold weather, Wildflower Farms remained a stunning sight, with its gold-toned meadows and charming country cottages. We took leisurely walks through the property, enjoying the crisp winter air and the quiet beauty of nature. When we were ready to warm up, we cozied up by the fire at The Great Porch, the main open-air gathering space.

We had the pleasure of dining at Clay, the restaurant at Wildflower Farms, for all of our meals. As someone who has visited several Auberge properties in the past, I’ve come to expect nothing less than exceptional dining experiences, and Clay did not disappoint. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a cozy fireplace and rustic decor that perfectly complemented the natural beauty of the property.

The menu at Clay is inspired by the seasonal bounty of the Hudson Valley, and the chef’s commitment to using local, organic ingredients was evident in every bite. But perhaps the best part of dining at Clay was the service. The staff was knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food they were serving. They took the time to explain each dish and offer recommendations, making the dining experience feel like a true celebration of food and community.

Our visit to Wildflower Farms was made even more special by our experience with the wellness program led by the naturalist and founder of Sēfari, Jobi Manson. Jobi’s signature Sēfari experience is designed to help guests connect more deeply with the natural world, and we found it to be truly transformative.

From the moment we met Jobi, we were struck by her warmth and passion for her practice. She led us on a journey to awaken our senses, beginning with an outdoor guided meditation along the peaceful Shawangunk Kill River. It was an immersive experience, as we basked in the sounds of nature and allowed ourselves to fully connect with the beauty of our surroundings.

But Wildflower Farms isn’t just about nature – it’s also about relaxation and rejuvenation. The property features a variety of charming accommodations. All rooms are tastefully decorated with a rustic-chic aesthetic and are equipped with modern amenities to ensure your stay is comfortable and stress-free.

In addition to the cozy accommodations, Wildflower Farms also boasts a full-service spa where you can indulge in a variety of options to help you unwind and recharge. As part of the Sēfari wellness program led by Jobi, we were also treated to a transformative water and sound experience at the resort’s indoor saltwater pool. The warm water and music created a truly immersive and restorative environment. As we floated and surrendered to the gentle vibrations and sound bath, we were able to tap into our subconscious and let go of any tension or stress we were carrying.

One of the unique experiences offered at Wildflower Farms is their farm experience, which we were lucky enough to participate in. We woke up early to meet their feathered, early morning risers and even got to feed them grains and treats. We also had the unforgettable opportunity to collect our own eggs! There’s something so special about being able to connect with the animals and land in this way.

Our stay at Wildflower Farms was a journey that allowed us to connect with nature and ourselves in a profound way. The Sēfari wellness program, the natural beauty of the Hudson Valley, and the idyllic property all came together to create a journey that allowed us to connect more deeply with ourselves and the world around us. If you’re looking to deepen your connection with nature and find inner peace and relaxation, we highly recommend a stay at Wildflower Farms. It’s a truly special place that will leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated in every way, especially if you live in the city.

Special thanks to Wildflower Farms and Auberge Resorts for providing us with a beautiful experience in upstate New York.
